Elvis Presley, the ultimate showman and undisputed legend.

He had a superb and versatile voice that was both powerful and beautiful.

He made over 30 films and performed in more than thousand concerts.

Whilst many prefer the `young' Elvis of the 1950's and early sixties,my personal preference is the five years or so directly after.

From the time of his 1968 Comeback Special, Elvis turned to live performances. Jan 12th and 13th 1973 saw the rehearsal and subsequent broadcast of  Elvis' phenomenal Aloha from Hawaii concert.

Less than five years later his weight had ballooned and the King was dead.

For many, myself included, the `Hawaii period' is how we like to remember the `King', lean and mean, charismatic and at the pinnacle of his brilliant career.
